The work has been made on he-rats of the Wistar line. The method of the intrabrain microdialysis has been used on the free-movable animals and high effective liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection for the determination of dopamine and its metabolites. It has been shown, that the differences in the action mechanism of the typical and atypical neuroleptics are connected with its different affinity to D2 and D3 receptors of dopamine.
