The work covers the quasi-stationary sources of H*99- ions and also the generation mechanism of H*99- ions. The aim is to make the heavy-current quasi-stationary surface-plasma sources of H*99- ions; to investigate the geometric focusing of negative ions in the honeycomb source. The mechanisms of forming beams of the H*99- ions in the sources with geometric focusing has been studied firstly by a computer simulation that gave a possibility to explain a number of the regularities in forming energital spectra of the ionic beams.
