The investigation on the morphological changeability of the fluffy alder in Siberia and on Far East of Russia as a base for solving controversial problems of the systematics and natural hybridization was performed. Firstly in 26 populations covering the species area, its phenotypical polymorphism has been studied, the regularities on the changeability of the morphological signs on the endogenic, internal- and interpopulation levels has been studied, and on this base their diagnostic evaluation has been given. The sufficient influence of the climatic situation on the formation of the complex morphological species structure has been shown.
