Improvement of reliability of the tractive electric motors by improving the control and its temperature characteristics

The object of investigation: the tractive electric motors TD-2KI of locomotives VL10y. The purpose of the work: the development of methods and means with the aid of which it will be possible to improve the TEM reliability by improving the control of its temperature characteristics. The new data about the TEM of electric locomotives VL10y have been collected in the Mid-Volzhsky region of Russia. The methods for obtaining the TEM temperature characteristics under the stand and operation conditions have been developed, as well as the algorithms and programs for processing the investigation results in the computer. The possibility for improving the TEM reliability under operating conditions has been appeared due to improving the control and recording its temperature characteristics. The conditions can be created for the machine driver to obtain the constant information about the TEM temperature condition. Developed has been the structure diagram of the airborne information-measuring system for checking the TEM temperature, and the technical task has been compiled for its design.
