The purpose of the work: obtaining the callus and suspension cells culture of the liuzia carthamoedes DC, studying its physiology-biochemical characteristics as well as revealing the possibility of the ecdisteroids biosynthesis in the culture of cells of the given plant. Shown has been the existence of the strain specificity of the cells culture, obtained from the different types of the explant. The principal possibility of the ecdisteroids synthesis by the cells in vitro has been shown. It has been established that the spectre of the ecdysteroids cells to be synthesized in culture differs from the intact plant.
