Subject of investigation: stands of pine trees drowing at different levels of the environment contamination by effluents of a nitrogen fertilizer plant. Determined are the seasonal growth of trees under the conditions of contamination, the complex effect of the biotic and abiotic factors of the environment on the condition of the trees and dependence of losses of the trunk accretion in diameter and volume on the defoliation of the crown. A nex index is proposed for estimating the condition of the stand of trees - the degree of the coniferous needle coat of the shoots. A new method is developed for modelling the growth of trees depending on the concentration of the contaminant. The methods of estimating the complex effect of effluents includ...
