CHEMICAL STUDY OF TRITERPENE COMPOUNDS IN SEA-BUCKTHORN (HIPPOPHAE RHEMNOIDOS) GROWING IN THE WEST PAMIRS

The work covers the triterpene compounds in the cea-buckthorn fruit and leaf oil of West Pamirs. The aim of the work is to study the special features in the triterpenoids of the sea-bucrthorn growing in the West Pamirs and to give the chemical characteristic of the sea-buckthorn growing along the Bartang river flood plain of West Pamirs. The structures of 16 triterpenoids one of which has been selected and described firstly have been selected and determined in the sea-buckthorn fruit and leaf oil. It has been discovered that the content of 24-methylenecycloarthanol in the sea-buckthorn fruit oil is 1,8 time more than in the altai sea-buckthorn fruid oil. It has been revealed that the West Pamirs' buckthorn fruit oil manufactured by a centrifugation method (120% mg carotinoids) possesses the same activity that the pharmacopeial oil (180% mg carotinoides). The sea-buckthorn growing in the Bartang river flood plain can be used as a medicianal raw material, but the laying of the industrial sea-buckthorn plantations is possible in the region.
