The work is concerned with the Scotch pine and forest cultures. The aim is to develop the principles for forest-typological classification of the forest cultures, to reveal the basic culture types, to study special features for taxation construction of the culture-phytocenosises, to determine and develop the methods for evaluating recreation potential of the forest cultures. The forest-typological classification of the artificial plantings has been proposed; the types of forest cultures with participation of the Scotch pine which are characteristic for region in the vicinity of Moscow have been selected and described.
