Flies-syrphidae (diptera, syrphidae) of agrobiocenoses of the uzbekistan

The work is aimed at studying the fauna, ecology and biology of the Syrphidae, revealing of their role in the different ecosystems and possible ways ofpractical use. For the first time for the Uzbekistan, the species compositi on (including the arid territories), the distribution in the vertical belts and agrobiocenoses, the season and day dynamics, the food bonds of maggots and imago, the peculiarities in the development of the 14 species of predatory syrphidae: the fruitfulness, voracity, the terms of the development, multiplication, benaviour have been revealed. For the first time, the optimum relations: a predactor - a victimon the cotton, cabbage and fruitful cultures at which the number of predactors, aphids is being reduced to the imperceptible level of economy have been determined. The possibility of the effective use of the natural syrphidae population for supressing the aphids on the cultures by the additional sowing of the nectariferous and lucerne crop rotations has been proved. The optimum relations: the predator - the victim 1:15, 1:20 have been used in the biological struggle with the cotton aphids in the Dzhizakskaya region on the area of 150,000 ha in 1981 to 1987.
