The investigation is concerned with power systems and distribution networks. The author has developed new optimization models of analysis of deficient states with due regard for the 2nd Kirchhoff's law at determined and stochastic conditions. The author has investigated the computing possibilities of one of the polynomial algorithms, namely, the method of simplex plunging and applicability thereof to the solution of the power system reliability analysis problems. The developed programs have been used as instrument means for the solution of the reliability problems, as the problems of linear, convex and non-convex programming.
