The guiding type surfaces of the machine-tools machined by the different procedure finishing treatment are investigated. The aim is to form the optimum microrelief on the surfaces of the machine-tool guidings to increase the service life of their operation. The influence of the different procedure finishing treatment of the guiding type surfaces on the lubricant distribution in their contacts, static frictional force and wear resistance has been investigated, and their optimum microrelief has been revealed.
