There the dependences between the deformation indicators of earth surface and the mining-geological characteristics of region have been ascertained. The forecast method for the deformations of earth surface during the pumping out of underground waters in the territory of Kabul, which allows to organize the effective pumping out of underground waters and the reliable protection of buildings and of structures, has been developed. The results are used by the General Department for Geodesy and for Cartography and by the Geology Department of Afghanistan at the exploration of present-day vertical motions of earth surface in the territory of Kabul.
