The object of investigation: the ecosystem of the Uvildu lake, the bottom. The purpose of the work: the reconstruction of the main stages of evolution of the Uvildu lake on the base of the complex study of the bottom sediments and the evaluation of its up-to-date state with a view to justificate the measures on optimization of the nature use with the tendencies of development to be considered. The main evolution stages of the largest lake ecosystem of the Urals have been restored. The contradiction in the evaluation of the age of the most ancient lakes of the South Urals has been eliminated, and the time of its appearance the middle dryas has been determined.
