EXPLORATION OF FORMING CONDITIONS OF PHOSPHIDES OF RARE-EARTH METALS IN ALLOYS OF MANGANESE BASIS, ON CHROMIUM BASIS AND ON VANADIUM BASIS WITH VIEW TO DEVELOPMENT OF NEW DEPHOSPHORIZATION PROCESSES OF FERROALLOYS

There the study objects are the alloys of basis of chromium, of manganese and of vanadium with the rare-earth metals. The study purpose is to explore by experiment the forming of phosphides of rare-earth metals in the alloys on the diverse bases for the development of extra-furnace removal methods of phosphorus from the ferroalloys. The phase equilibria in the system were explored according to the techniques of hardening of equilibrium phases and of opposing diffusion of reactants. The metallographic analysis of phosphide phases was realized with the application of MIM-8 microscope and of microroentgen analyzer. The diagrams of phase equilibria in the systems of Mn-La-P and Fe-V-Ce-P at 1873 K and in Fe-Cr-Ce-P system at 1973 K have been constructed by experiment for the first time. The design procedure of phase equilibria in the systems, which have the segregation fields of metallic - non-metallic phosphide melts at the steel-making temperatures, has been developed. The removal possibility of phosphorus from the ferrochromium and from the ferrovanadium at the expense of forming of crystallization process of ferroalloys containing the rare-earth metals has been proved for the first time.
