The work is aimed at development of new approaches to calculation of energy characteristics of turbomachines and computer-aided design systems based thereon. Methodology of generalizing experimental data, a system of mathematical models of the efficiency of the stage, methods of calculating energy characteristics of stages and their elements, methods of calculating a gas flow in the flow-through portion, automated data banks are proposed. Recommendations are elaborated on designing compressor stages.
