Structure of archen metamorphic complex of central cola peninsula granulitic gneiss region

Subject of investigation: Central Cola Peninsula granulitic gneiss region. Purpose of the work: revealing of the structure, history of formation and features of the tectogenesis of the Central Cola Peninsula granulitic gneiss region. It is determined that the Archean rocks of the territory have undergone a complicated structural evolution during the epoch of late Archean tectogenesis. The main mechanism of the structural formation consisted in a plastic flow of a substance under the conditions of the high-temperature metamorphism. The results of the investigation can be used when drawing small-scale geological and tectonic maps of the Cola Peninsula in connection with a deep geological prediction mapping of the Cola experimental geodynamic prooving ground.
