The main factors of the printing process, influencing the transfer of colour space, were investigated with the aim of detection and investigation of those main factors and to normalize the optimum values of those factors as well as the permissible deviations undes the conditions of production of maps. As a result the regularities of formation of spectrum-modulation properties of the colour layers were investigated and the correlation between the spectral characteristics of the multicolour layers and one-colour layers was detected. The methods for determination of the optimum combination of the relative thicknesses of the three colour layers, ensuring the achromatic field, were developed.
