A mathematical model of a turbulen jet in a cross flow on the base of the vortex structure interaction, taking into consideration the jet cross-section deformation and non-self-simularity of its velocity cross profile, has been developel in the paper. Founding mechanisms of the jet mixing with a cross flow have been investigated. Rules of the turbulent jet propagation in a cross flow have been also investigated.
