The investigation is concerned with energy and angular correlation of decay products of high-excited state of nuclei. The investigation is aimed at studying laws of excitation and decay of isoscalar gigantic resonances in medium nuclei, studying decay across different channels of incident alpha -particles in the field on nucleus-target. The decay of the gigantic quadrupole resonance in "5"8Ni is interpreted in the framework of a statistic model. The author has substantiated the application of the diffraction model for description of disintegration of alpha -particles in the field of medium nuclei.
