Subject of inquiry: conducting fluid heat- and mass transfer in vertical flows of streams and canals under the influence of gravitational and transverse magnetic field. The aim of the work is to investigate the influence of transverse magnetic field on mixed convection in conducting fluid laminar and turbulent flows. Constancy of maximal speed value, taking place when a hot plate is flown about by a cold stream of conducting fluid in rather strong magnetic fields, has been disclosed. Non-monotonic behaviour of surface friction being determined by relations between local values of mass forces has been revealed. Collapse of a familiar effect of convective heat transfer deterioration has been determined when applying transverse magnetic field....
