The work covers search for the ways of neutron microscop designing, evolution of optical systems design methods for UHN, analysis of key gravitational aberrations and search for the ways of their compensation. A matrix design method has been designed and theoretical analysis of gravitational aberrations has been made. Three neutron microscopes were proposed and designed. Two low-noise position sensitive neutron detectors with automated data collection were developed. Full closed-loop experimental tests of the horizontal neutron microscope were carried out.
