The investigation is concerned with KI, KV, KU-1, KUV1, UAD quartz glasses. The aim to be attained is to study laser-induced processes in quartz glasses of various types different in impure compositions but containing oxygen-deficient centers. A theoretical physical model adequately describing processes of photoexitation and decay of oxygen-deficient centers in a quartz glass has been first constructed. A mechanism of the dissociative ionization of oxygen-deficient centers and formation of E-centers has been established. A role of secondary photochemical processes has been determined. Quantitative characteristics of UV laser decay of oxygen-deficient centers required for creation of information carriers and glass cleaning of absorbing defec...
