Crystals, activated by rare-earth ions are investigation in the paper aiming at the development of the non-contradictory theory of optical spectrum intensities and crystalline field theory. As a result the analytical dependence of the force of electric dipole transition lines on the energy of multiplets, switched into a transition, has been established.
