Positions of the elastic satellite equilibrium on a circular orbit are coonsidered in the paper aiming at the search of relative equilibriums of an elastic satellite and conditions of their stability. The theoretical significance is in the development of the stability investigation method for the mechanical systems with a countable number of degrees of freedom. The method of the approximate search for non-trivial equilibrium positions has been substantiated.
