There the slag formation and the desulphuration during the flux use have been studied. The purposes are to determine the influence of primary composition of slurry on the degree of sulphur removal during the use of carbon-containing complex fluxes, to select the thermodynamical simulators of slag systems. The computation algorithm of physicochemical properties of slag systems and of distribution coefficient of sulphur by the simulator factors of directed bond has been developed. The sulphur and vapour absorptivities of ferrite fluxes have been determined; the optimum composition of flux has been recommended.
