Der vorliegende Beitrag stellt neue Ergebnisse der FFS (Familiy and Fertility Survey) und der EPA (Labor Force Surveys) in Spanien hinsichtlich des Eintrittes junger Menschen in den Arbeitsmarkt vor. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der Frage, wie die Transformation des spanischen Arbeitsmarkts in den letzten 30 Jahren die erste Beschaeftigung junger Spanier beeinflusst hat. Daten der FFS und der EPA von 1996 und 1999 werden herangezogen um herauszufinden, ob der Berufsstart junger Menschen heutzutage mit mehr Schwierigkeiten verbunden ist als frueher.
