Umwelt-Datenkatalog Niedersachsen

The R and D project had the aim to develop a meta-information-system with regard to conceptional and technical questions. Above all, it was considered important to check whether the innovative concept allowed a harmonization in the sectors of environment informationsystems, of data collection, and of the conditions for data exchange. Furthermore it was necessary to control the economic efficiency and the usefulness of the procedure corresponding to the application; for this purpose, the system was designated to be implemented exemplarily in Lower Saxony. The development aims have been reached without any exception. In addition to the basic module, the development of a thesaurus module has been successfully undertaken. The development of the UDK version 3.0 has been finished with a mature product; only the communication module remains in the test phase. The conception has found national and international attention and acceptance. The UDK application has been implemented in several federal 'laender' and several states as part of the environment information system. (orig.)Das F und E-Vorhaben strebte die Entwicklung eines Metainformationssystems in konzeptioneller und technischer Hinsicht an. Bei dieser Zielsetzung stand im Vordergrund zu pruefen, ob der innovative Ansatz eine Harmonisierung im Bereich der Entwicklung von Umweltinformationssystemen, der Datenerfassung und der Datenaustauschbedingungen ermoeglicht. Ferner war die Wirtschaftlichkeit und Zweckmaessigkeit des Verfahrens entsprechend der Antragstellung zu pruefen; zu diesem Zweck sollte das System beispielhaft in Niedersachsen eingefuehrt werden. Die Entwicklungsziele wurden ohne Ausnahme erreicht. Zusaetzlich zum Basismodul konnte die Entwicklung eines Thesaurusmoduls erfolgreich aufgenommen werden. Die Entwicklung der UDK-Version 3.0 wurde mit der Produktreife abgeschlossen, wobei das Kommunikationsmodul in den Testphasen verblieb. Die Konzeption fand nationale und internationale Beachtung und Akzeptanz; die UDK-Anwendung wurde in mehreren Bundeslaendern und Staaten als Bestandteil von Umweltinformationssystemen eingefuehrt.
