Today remote sensing and space technology play an unimportant part in the field of education. It was the aim to analyze the situation in the educational sector with regard to the role of remote sensing and space technology and to develop strategies for their promotion. To meet this aim Geospace supported DARAs activities in the field of education and evaluated them. It turned out, that the main problems for the promotion of remote sensing and space technology in education are the lack of specialized knowledge of teachers and the lock of publications suitable for the use in schools. Further activities will have to begin at this point. (orig.)Available from TIB Hannover: DtF QN1(60,38) / FIZ - Fachinformationszzentrum Karlsruhe / TIB - Techni...
