Anforderungsanalysen in der Flugverkehrskontrolle: Ein Vergleich verschiedener Arbeitspositionen

In a study comprising 107 air traffic controllers of the DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH the psychological requirements of three different controller positions (Tower control TWR, Approach control APP, and Area control ACC) were analyzed using the Fleishman Job Analysis Survey (F-JAS). This instrument covers ability requirements, knowledges and skills, and interactive/social abilities. The results indicate only small differences in the requirements of the APP- and ACC-position, but qualitative and quantitative differences in the requirements of the Tower position compared to the other positions, with a tendency of higher requirements for TWR. Experienced controllers generally tended to rate requirements higher than their less experienced colleagues. Approach controllers handling a comparably small amount of traffic tended to rate requirements higher compared to colleages handling more traffic. In Tower control, requirements tended to be rated highest for Airports with a medium amount of traffic (100.000 up to 200.000 movements/year). With respect to psychological selection, substantial differences in the requirements of the three analyzed positions cannot be concluded.
