Aim of the technology programme HAK1PP was, to complete the extensive investigations of HAK1/1P and HAK2 concerning the integration of Highbypass Engines in modern High Lift Concepts by essential aspects, on one hand by an investigation of jet induced secondary effects on the aerodynamics of a 4 engine configuration, on the other hand by flowfield measurements in the region of a VHBR engine close coupled to a high lift wing. So 2 TPS windtunnel campaigns were conducted in HAK1PP which concentrated on these items. TPS test in the DNW on a slightly modified A340 complete model with close coupled VHBR engines.
