In connection with the future development of an experimental service satellite (ESS-project) sensors suited for guidance navigation control and for automatic orbital control systems, modes of communication and aspects of commercializing have been discussed. Compiled sensors include earth sensors, sun sensors, star sensors (scanner, tracker, mapper), magnetometers, gyros, accelerators, global positioning systems, attitude and orbit determination systems, laser-supported systems for distance measurements, CCD-supported systems for target acquisition and identification.
