In the scope of 'All Weather Rescue Helicopter (AWRH)' technology research, VDO-L was involved within the partial task 'Large Screen Display System (BFDS)'. The mentioned VDO-L technology tasks comprised all activities of an analysis and conception phase, followed by the specification generation and definition of BFDS interface in AWRH avionic system. Due to parallel activities with ECD concerning the helicopter man-machine-interface, it will be ensured that the specified display system will satisfy all requirements of AWRH system. The VDO-L technology research was completed by the BFDS specification for an environment of AWRH Demosystem 2 in which, due to missing helicopter system requirements -as agreed with ECD - assumptions were taken. ...
