The influence of thermal convection on diffusion measurements especially at high temperatures was investigated by the ISIS experiment during the D-2 spacelab mission. Under microgravity sharp liquid interfaces could be established by applying the flowing junction technique. The diffusion coefficients of (K, Ag)NO_3 melt of the eutectic composition were determined at 180 and 270 C without convection. The results were about 30% lower than the terrestrical reference data measured with several different methods. Furthermore a new diffusion cell for high temperature applications was developed and the concentration- and temperature dependence of the diffusion coefficients were elucidated.
