On 12-13 September 1995 the 12th User Seminar of the German Remote Sensing Data Center of DLR was held in Neustrelitz. 22 scientific papers were presented subdivided into five thematic sessions. The programme has been completed by ESA, DATA and DFD contributions, focused on their Data Utilization Programmes. For this year the selected main topics were climatology and hydrological cycle as well as geosphere and biosphere. Further papers were presented in repsect to data validation, scattering processes and new results derived from actual missions, in particular by use of SIR-C/X-SAR and MOMS-D2 stereo data.
