In order to improve the implementation of parallel programs into multiprogramming environments, a new scheduling system has been developed by which in interaction of load adaptive algorithms within the components, cooperative decisions are derived under consideration of the specialities of parallel programs in non-dedicated environments. Basic, results for this system were obtained by means of an event-controlled simulator into which the cooperative scheduling components had been integrated. Using the cooperative scheduling strategy in the parallel processing, the average waiting time of the programs could be considerably reduced.
