The project task was to examine and model the low-cycle fatigue (LCF) performance of the novel steel E 911 (X 10 CrMoWVNbN 9 1) containing 1% tungsten. LCF curves, i.e the entire strain range as a function of number of cycles to failure, were determined for the material E 911 at room temperature and at 600 C with and without holding times of 30 minutes. The hystereses for the selected LCF conditions were calculated based on Robinson's model using constitutive equations. Calculated and experimental curves are in good agreement.
