This comparative study had the aim to provide some informations about the efficiency of different theories applied to antisymmetric angle-ply plates. Like for cross-ply plates, CLT (Classical Lamination Theory; an extension of the Kirchhoff's plate theory) gives satisfying results for slender plates (A/h#<=#25). FSDLT (First-order Shear Deformation Lamination Theory) and Reddy's HSDLT (High-order Shear Deformation Theories) are adapted to thick plates. The last one, however, gives more close to 3-D solution stresses than Whitney and Pagano's model. The best results are provided by SLT's 2-D theory.
