The alloying elements can appreciably reduce the pitting corrosion of aluminium materials. The aim of this work was to determine the effect of the silver distribution in aluminium on pitting corrosion. The course of separation in aluminium/silver alloys was followed up qualitatively and quantitatively and electrochemical corrosion investigations were carried out.
