Particle- and fiber-reinforced light metal materials are produced in special processes for the application in aeronautics and space flight. Its technological characteristics are clearly better than the characteristics of not reinforced light metal alloys. The aim of the research work was then development of a casting process for the quantity production of parts consisting of magnesium fiber composite materials. The favourable use of these materials should be made possible in the automotive industry, especially in engines.
