On-line material characterization during extrusion of recyclates Paper

Unknown properties of recycles are the problem in the field of recycling thermoplastics. The off-line determination of selected properties (basic polymer, colour and mechanical properties) is not sufficient to qualify recyclates. Important for the characterization is an almost complete knowledge of the material properties when producing recyclates that are supposed to be competitive as construction materials. Therefore the implementation of tools for the detection and assurance of material properties on-line during extrusion is a promising conception.
