In der vorliegenden Arbeit wurden fluessigphasengesinterte Siliziumkarbid-Keramiken, LPS-SiC, hergestellt und der Einfluss der Gefuegeausbildung und der chemischen Sekundaerphasenzusammensetzung auf die mechanischen Eigenschaften untersucht. Ziel war es, LPS-SiC-Materialien zu identifizieren, die ohne besonderen Vorkehrungen wie Pulverbett oder Einkapselung reproduzierbar und mit geringem Masseverlust hergestellt werden koennen. Das Eigenschaftsprofil sollte deutlich ueber dem von konventionell festphasengesintertem SiC liegen und vergleichbar zu fluessigphasengesinterten Siliziumnitrid-Keramiken sein.
