The industrial demand for optimised combustion technologies with better fuel utilisation and reduced pollution has grown continuously. In this context, numeric simulation of process-engineering plants and processes is gaining more and more importance. This project was designed to improve the numeric simulation of fuel conversion in technical combustion plants. The use of a parallel computer enabled efficient simulation of geometrically complex plants at high spatial resolution. The study concentrated on transferring the existing computer programs to a parallel computer and the comprehensive validation of the transfer by studying various applications.
