The aim of the project is to obtain information on the permissible impurities in working gas originating from coal for gas turbine power operation from the measured contents of harmful substances of the produced cleaned fluegases and the corrosion rates on blade materials obtained from this in long-term tests. Form the experiments with simulated coal fluegases at the Darmstadt College, one can conclude that, in spite of a reduction in corrosion due to remaining ash in the fluegas, it is necessary to remove ash and alkalis almost completely from the fluegas.
