This report describes the set-up and function of a dual purpose power plant, the simulation model with its components ''combined heat and power generation aggregate'', ''control'' and ''thermal energy storage'' and the demand factors on which the investigation is based. Finally the results are explained and the data sheets are presented in the appendix. The additional thermal energy generator (peak shaving boiler) that is used to cover the thermal energy demand peaks has not been part of this investigation. With respect to the task no detailed technology description is given.
