The investigations, reported on here, are aimed at the theoretical and experimental determination of the neutron exposure of the VVER-1000 reactors Balakovo-3 and Rovno-3. The overall approach, partially developed and at least improved in the frame of this project, comprises the pure calculation part, the gamma spectrometric analysis of neutron activation detectors and the comparison of experimental and theoretical results using the spectrum adjustment procedure. The approach is not restricted to neutron embrittlement but can be applied to neutron fluence problems in general.
