Based upon the estimation of relevant turbulence parameter regions of gasturbine combustion, suitable turbulence (k- element of -Modell) and reaction-models (eddy break up, JPDF-model) were tested. The validation of those models was performed with experimental results from measurements with various model burners (swirl burner, bluff-body burner, flat flame front stabilized in a stagnation flow). A special model burner system developed in the TURBOFLAM project, was experimentally investigated and also used to validate the reaction model.
