The experimental study was concerned with the search for general correlations based on proximate, elementary and elemental analyses for calculation of the reactivity of coals of various rank. For this purpose, pyrolysis and gasification studies at a total pressure of 2.5 MPa were performed by variation of the partial pressure, the gasification media, H_2O and CO_2, and the temperature. Altogether, eight different coals were investigated as received and additionally after demineralization. For all studies, a batchwise operated laboratory fluidized bed was used.
