'During the last two decades the traditional mobility pattern in Europe has been undergoing profound modifications. In particular, there has been a surge of highly skilled migration within the European Union. In this paper we analyse the way in which dhe Europeanisation of production in Europe has contributed to this development. In a first step we present a dynamic microeconomic framework. It demonstrates how the rising Europeanisation has affected intra-firm foreign assignments and how this change in turn has influenced the volume of highly skilled migration within Europe.
