Die Modellierung von Waehlerverhalten steht im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit. Raeumliche Modelle der Wahl von Parteien/Kandidaten werden mit Modellen der Wahlbeteiligung bzw. -enthaltung kombiniert zu einem Entscheidungsmodell. Ausgangspunkt der Untersuchung ist die Annahme eines sequentiellen Vorgehens bei der Entscheidung fuer Parteien/Kandidaten bzw. fuer die Teilnahme an der Wahl und ein entsprechendes Schichtenmodell. Darauf aufbauend wird ein weitergehendes Modell entwickelt, in dem beide Entscheidungsprozesse gleichzeitig modelliert werden und in dem zwischen 'alienation' und 'indifference' unterschieden wird.
