Eintraege von Platingruppenelementen (PGE) aus Kfz-Abgaskatalysatoren in strassennahe Boeden

In diesem Bericht wird der Eintrag von Platingruppenelementen (PGE) aus Kfz-Abgaskatalysatoren in strassennahe Boeden untersucht. Die Probennahme erfolgte 1994. Es zeigt sich ein deutlicher Anstieg der katalytisch wirksamen Edelmetalle Platin, Rhodium und Palladium in den oberen Bodenhorizonten entlang stark befahrener Strassen. Die hoechsten Analysewerte treten ausser im Strassenstaub in der organischen Auflage (Wald) bzw. in der Grasauflage (Gruenland) auf. Platin und Rhodium werden in den Bodenproben in einem Verhaeltnis aehnlich dem in Katalysatoren vorliegenden wiedergefunden. Die Mehrzahl der emittierten Edelmetalle liegt in partikulaerer Form vor. (orig.)The report investigates the deposition of platinum group elements (PGEs) from motor vehicle exhaust gast catalysts to soils near roads. Sampling was done in 1994. A distinct increase in the catalytically active rare metals platinum, rhodium and palladium in the upper soil horizons along much frequented roads was established. Apart from road dust, the highest values were found in the organic ground cover (forest) and in the grass cover (greenland). Platinum and rhodium are encountered in the soil samples in a ratio similar to that of catalysts.
